VCA Yucca Valley Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician

Location: 57185 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca Valley, CA 92284

Wage range: $20 - $26

Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour shift with alternating Saturdays

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility preferred.

• Must be friendly, outgoing, and “people-oriented.”

• Excellent communication skills.

• Telephone and computer skills are necessary.

• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and to accept change.

Physical Requirements:

• Dependable attendance is required.

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

• This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during an 8-hour day.

The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Dentistry

• Radiology

• Laboratory work

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• Client Communication
