We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Zetland Vets on a full-time basis. This role will be split between our main hospital and our Backwell branch, allowing you to work in sole charge at our smaller branch practice with an excellent client base. You will also need flexibility to cover other sites as and when needed.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week across either 4 or 5 days between hours of 8 am - 6 pm
• Shifts split between our Zetland Road and Backwell sites
• 8 Saturdays per year 8:30 - 5 pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)

General Responsibilities

• Sole charge nursing at our Backwell site
• Pet health checks, post-operative checks, second vaccines, anal gland treatments, nail clips, and wellness consultations
• Quality control and laboratory machine operation

*Practice upkeep including cleaning schedules, date checking, and general administration to maintain the branch.

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
