Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Chelmsford, a well-established small animal practice on Springfield Road with excellent facilities, including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic imaging, ultrasound and modern surgical equipment. The practice provides high-quality care for cats, dogs and small mammals, supporting everything from routine health checks and nurse clinics to surgery and diagnostics.

As a Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse-led appointments and will support the Vet with procedures as required, ensuring we deliver exceptional care to our clients, patients and colleagues while maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

You will be joining a welcoming and experienced team led by Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon Bogdan Potirnac, alongside skilled vets, registered veterinary nurses and dedicated support staff who are passionate about delivering the very best care to every patient.

The role also includes some work supporting the wider Medivet network, with 1 in 6 full weekends at the 24-hour hospital in Southend-on-Sea, two weeks of on-call cover per year, and 1–2 bank holidays annually.

About you

You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
  • Deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
