Job Description

Medivet Streatham is looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped, community-focused practice where high clinical standards, teamwork, and patient care are at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll play a key role in nurse consults, theatre, inpatient care, and supporting our vets, with opportunities to develop your skills and interests through CPD and Medivet’s wider network.

This is a full time role working 4 days a week with 1:6 full weekends at the local 24 hour Hospital.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet.That’sthe care for our patients, our clients andfor each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.

In this role you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care toyourclients.

  • Support withsurgeriesand procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity

  • Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries

  • Deliver patient monitoring and care

  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.

  • If relevant:Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.

  • Dispense and check medication.

  • Deliver professional excellence, implementing andcomplying withall regulatory, practice and operational standards.

  • Inspire your team, sharingnew or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.

  • Engage,coachanddevelopyourteam

  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered VeterinaryNurse.

  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.

  • Able to confidently lead a clinicalteam

  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinicalculture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations

  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
