Burston Houseis looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team.

Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.

Priory Burston House, Burston, near Diss on the Suffolk/Norfolk border is a level 2 rehabilitation service for male patients with a learning disability. It is accessible by public transport, with Diss railway station approximately 3 miles from the service and limited local bus links. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

What you'll be doing

You will join the team on the Recovery and Rehabilitation Ward. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

You will work effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting the best interests of clients and their carers while ensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely and effectively. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive care environment, exercising professional accountability and responsibility, and using your nursing skills, knowledge and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments. You will work within the scope of your professional practice and maintain high standards of care at all times.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role
  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse with active NMC registration.
  • Minimum of 6-12 months post-registration experience working within a mental health or learning disabilities care environment.
  • Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional standards.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement and delivering high-quality care.
  • Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care.
