Registered Safety Officer

Location: Hong Kong
Project Type: Civil Works (Bridge and Foundation Projects)
Client: A well-known international subcontractor specializing in civil works.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Safety Officer to join our team for a critical civil project. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Safety Officer certification in Hong Kong.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management within the construction or civil engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations, codes, and best practices.
• Proficient in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Immediate availability is preferred due to the urgent nature of the project.
