SUNSHINE COMMUNITIES

Registered Respiratory Therapist

Sunshine is looking for someone with skills in Respiratory Therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or related field

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in the State of Ohio

• Current Respiratory Therapist

• Experience with pediatric respiratory care and ventilator care, tracheostomy care

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or medically complex conditions

• Must be able to adapt to changing situations, exercise sound clinical judgement, staff education & clinical training is highly desirable

• Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and auto insurance

• Able to pass criminal background, drug test, physical, and PT assessment

• Able to lift 50 pounds

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate respiratory status of individuals receiving support.

• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies as applicable.

• Perform respiratory assessments and document findings accurately, completely, and in a timely manner in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in the management and oversight of ventilator and respiratory support programs in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and the Director of Respiratory Services

• Administer medications and respiratory treatments within scope of practice and in accordance with agency policy, physician orders, certification requirements and applicable regulations.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain all required licensure, certifications, and competencies.

• Serve as clinical resource and subject matter expert for respiratory care
