About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Anaesthetic Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our dynamic Ophthalmology team on a part-time basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster.
About Manningham Private Hospital:
Manningham Private Hospital is a purpose-built day surgery with modern facilities, specialising in Ophthalmology, Refractive surgery and corneal cross-linking, Ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and Vascular surgery.
Our hospital includes 5 operating theatres and a refractive laser suite.
We are well known for evidence-based surgical care and excellent patient outcomes.
Duties and responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you are the heartbeat of our team, bringing our mission of the best possible care to life. You’ll support the smooth running of our facility by driving clinical excellence and patient safety at every stage of their journey. Through close collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, you’ll ensure outcomes that are positive, reliable and centred on the person in front of you.
With respect and collaboration, you will:
• Deliver evidence-based care: Monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.
• Prepare for safe surgery: Ensure the facility, equipment and clinical environment are ready to support safe, efficient surgical care.
• Prioritise and monitor patient safety: Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress, respond promptly to changes or complications, and keep patient safety central to all decisions.
• Support recovery at home: Provide clear education, guidance and reassurance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge.
• Guide and support colleagues: Supervise and support colleagues on shift, fostering confidence, teamwork and safe practice.
• Champion improvement: Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Solid experience in Anaesthetic nursing within a surgical hospital setting.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.
• The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Strong time management, organisational, leadership and communication skills.
