Oncology Nurse – Day Oncology Unit (Freemasons)

At Epworth Freemasons, our modern Day Oncology Unit is designed to provide comfort, privacy and high-quality care. With 3 Hillrom beds and 17 recliner chairs, we support patients across a broad range of cancer treatments, including breast, renal, pancreatic, colorectal, gastric and lung cancers, along with specialist infusional therapies.

We partner closely with Haematology and Oncology Clinical Trials teams and deliver advanced services including ECP (Photopheresis), TPE (Plasma Exchange), and stem cell collection and transplant—making us the only private hospital in Victoria offering ECP.

Qualifications

About you

You are an experienced oncology or haematology nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You bring a collaborative, supportive style and build strong relationships with patients and colleagues. You are committed to continuous learning and contributing to service development.

Key requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Experience in Oncology and/or Haematology nursing
  • Competency in cytotoxic administration
  • Contemporary knowledge of evidence-based cancer care
  • Chemotherapy competency (or willingness to obtain)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Oncology (or working towards) – desirable
  • Apheresis and transplant experience – highly regarded

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $82,237 - $103,280 + super + entitlements depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
