White Cross Lunn Ave Urgent Care and GP provides comprehensive urgent care and general practice services for both accidents and illnesses, supporting patients with prompt assessment and treatment for conditions such as minor injuries, infections, respiratory issues, burns, sprains, and fractures. The clinic offers practical on-site procedures including wound care, suturing, plastering, asthma treatment, and has access to additional services such as X-ray, dental, and physiotherapy to support end-to-end care when required. In addition to urgent care, it functions as a family GP for enrolled patients, supporting ongoing primary care needs including chronic condition management, vaccinations, screenings, travel medicine, and preventive health. The clinic also provides referral pathways to wider health services and is supported by a diverse clinical team, with care available via walk-in for urgent needs or by appointment for enrolled patients.

Your Role:

We have a full-time (0.9 FTE) nursing position available at White Cross Lunn Avenue, which operates daily from 8 am to 8 pm. Nursing staff will be required to provide support across a variety of shifts within these hours.

• Perform accurate nursing assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
• Deliver ongoing, culturally safe care that meets patient and family needs.
• Maintain precise documentation and promote patient education.
• Participate in team discussions, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Advanced experience in Acute Nursing.
• Current registration as a New Zealand Registered Nurse.
• Previous urgent care facility experiences are advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
• Awareness of ACC and PHC.
• Familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) preferred.
• Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Legal rights to work in New Zealand.
