Leicester Hospital | Ward | Permanent | Full time | Includes weekend work and nights

Competitive rates of pay depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Staff Nurse on the Elective Surgical Ward at our Leicester Hospital, you’ll drive the standard in patient care. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, plus you bring the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC. You also have post-registration experience.

As a Ward Staff Nurse, you will:

• Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker

• Join a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward

• Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs

• Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around

• Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities

• Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The Hospital has a strong local reputation with patients remaining loyal. The Hospital had a £4.5 million refurbishment in 2011 and was the blue print for the wider Hospitals refresh programme.

The Hospital has 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. The hospital delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments and services using the best possible technologies. Significant investment has enhanced our diagnostic and clinical capabilities, including a static MRI unit, digital X-ray suite and digital mammography service. With ongoing investment in facilities, workforce development and patient experience to support future growth and service innovation. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.
