Position Summary
The role of the Clinic Registered Nurse reports to the Clinic Nurse Manager in partnership with the Clinic Providers. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting Providers with scheduling procedures and completing nursing administrative tasks.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Collect and input patient vitals, medical history, and any patient medical information into the EMR system.
- Prepare patient for a variety of procedures and examinations and assist physicians, as needed.
- Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax, or phone as authorized and appropriate.
- Assist with scheduling patients for all necessary appointments, including procedures and various diagnostic tests.
- Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the provider.
- Serve as patient liaison and advocate, provide assistance and support for current and ongoing patient care needs.
- Obtain Prior Authorizations for procedures.
- Communicate results to patients in a timely manner.
- Triage calls per established provider protocols for all patients, partnering directly with the provider and document details in the electronic medical record.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with staff, providers, and clinic leaders regarding operational issues, patient care concerns, and policy and procedure issues and staffing on an ongoing basis.

Qualification
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure and Certifications:  Registered nurse license and CPR, required.

Experience: Previous experience in a clinic setting, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
