
Primary Scheduled Hours: per diem
Provides direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the entire perioperative period. As the Circulating RN, communicates with surgeon and anesthesia provider continuously and as needed about patient condition, participates in performance improvement activities, assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met, monitors, positions, preps and assists patient during procedure. Works in the preoperative arena to include pre-op area to prepare patients for surgery by obtaining health history, starting IV’s, and giving pre-op medications as ordered. Works in the PACU recovering both phase I and phase II patients through discharge.

Education Background and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education:
Graduate from an accredited Nursing school. Assoc Degree
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Washington or approved compact licensure. Call required for this position with 30-minute response time.
Current ACLS, NRP, PALS, BLS within (1) year of hire.
Required Experience:
Minimum one (1) year’s work experience in operating room. Willing to train in a perioperative setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Surgical Nursing experience, CPAN, CAPA or CNOR certification. BSN

Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation in increments increases annually.

NHHS employs six primary care physicians, four emergency room physicians, one hospitalist, six health care affiliates, three pharmacists, two Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and five surgeons (general, orthopedic, gynecology, podiatry). We offer complete obstetrical care including epidural anesthesia and Cesarean deliveries in a private, family setting.
Outpatient services are comprised of full-service diagnostic imaging (radiology), laboratory, pathology and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapy. NHHS also offers short stay and same day surgical services and a fully staffed general medical acute care unit.
