The Interventional Radiology Department at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center has an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse. The RN:
Assess the condition of the patient receiving Imaging/Interventional Radiology (IR) services via nursing process through identification of nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, communicating the plan of care, implementing appropriate nursing interventions and documenting and evaluating patient outcomes.
Serve as a liaison and educational resource for Imaging/IR Services.
Serve as a resource person to other members of the Radiology health care team.
The role of the registered nurse within Imaging/IR services is multifaceted including, but not limited to delivery of nursing care throughout all aspects of the services within the department: interventional procedures, administration of moderate sedation when applicable and as ordered by provider, pre-procedure care, recovery/PACU monitoring, nursing care during imaging (MSK, CT, etc.) and nursing care of patients in the IR Clinic.
Administration of chemo as related to IR procedures, participation in On Call rotations and Charge role as determined by role and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred. RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.
Certification and Licensing:
Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, BLS, ACLS certification required. PALS preferred but must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Experience:
Three years of experience is required. One year of relevant nursing experience required, preferably with PACU, ICU or Emergency Department clinical experience.
