Description:

At Saint Francis Hospital, our Registered Nurses (RNs) in Utilization Management are responsible for coordinating patient care, assessing patient needs, and supporting the development of appropriate care plans. They collaborate with healthcare providers, monitor patient progress, facilitate smooth transitions throughout the continuum of care, and advocate for patients’ overall well-being.

What You Will Do:

• As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Utilization Management Department, you will play an integral role in a collaborative process that coordinates, monitors, and plans healthcare services throughout the patient’s illness and continuum of care.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Five years of diversified, progressive experience in acute care and/or other settings within the continuum of care
• Knowledge and understanding of nationally recognized medical utilization criteria, HCFA/OBRA requirements, State of Connecticut regulatory compliance requirements, and JCAHO accreditation standards
• BLS certification

Pay Range: $36.40 - $58.25 per hour

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
