Position Title

Registered Nurse (RN) - Procedural Scheduling Nurse Coordinator - PRNSouthlake Campus

Career Interest:

Under the direction of the department Manager/Unit Coordinator, the Procedural Scheduling Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations/ coordination of the Scheduling function for designated procedural area. This role also serves as a liaison to both internal and external customers for this office. Functions in a high activity level, fast paced environment to ensure optimal patient scheduling

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Performs scheduling functions accurately, timely and in a professional manner for all assigned areas.
  • Familiarizes self with IT system upgrades and enhancements related to scheduling modules.
  • Maintains records in appropriate process design with regard to patient scheduling forms.
  • Familiar with and understands current HIPPA regulations revolving around data inherent to procedural area scheduling office.
  • Educates other areas as to process design and functionality of the Scheduling module when necessary.
  • Utilizes Nursing knowledge and experience in decision making regarding the daily schedule.
  • Implements block scheduling and other associated processes with regard to the schedule to optimize resources and patient outcomes.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • Associate Degree Nursing


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree Nursing


Required Licensure and Certification

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing Kansas or Missouri RN License


Knowledge Requirements

  • Knowledge of procedures, processes, supplies and equipment
