Matrix Home Care is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for a private duty nursing case in Lauderhill, Florida.

Position Overview

This is a one-on-one home care opportunity providing skilled nursing care during 12-hour day shifts. The nurse must be comfortable working independently in the home environment and have current hands-on experience with tracheostomy and G-tube care.

Primary Responsibilities

• 
  Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in the patient’s home
• 
  Perform routine tracheostomy care and suctioning
• 
  Monitor respiratory status and recognize changes in condition
• 
  Provide G-tube care, feedings, hydration, and medication administration
• 
  Monitor vital signs and complete ongoing patient assessments
• 
  Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• 
  Follow the established plan of care
• 
  Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards
• 
  Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• 
  Communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the clinical team and family
• 
  Respond appropriately to emergencies
• 
  Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable care environment
