How you’ll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Provides intraoperative and postoperative nursing care.
• Safely and adequately provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on unique patient need.
• Uses electronic nursing documentation for charging patient supplies per department policy and procedure.
• Evaluates patient outcomes.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and
• spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and
• circumstances.
• Assesses the physiological and psychosocial needs of the patient and works as an advocate for the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patient.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Associate degree in nursing required.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
