Additional Job Description
The Oncology Extended Hours Nurse will provide nursing care for Avera Oncology patients under the oversight of a provider during evening and weekend hours.
Hours: M-F 5-9PM; Sat-Sun 9AM-3PM
Key Responsibilities:
Triage and assess oncology patients.
Administer treatments and transfusions in an oncology infusion center setting.
Deliver high-quality care to patients needing services outside of regular clinic hours.
Program Details:
This position supports the launch of oncology extended hours care, with operations targeted to begin in the first quarter of calendar year 2026 (exact start date to be determined).
While the primary responsibility is coverage during evening and weekend extended hours, additional daytime shifts may be available based on the individual’s availability and desired hours per pay period.
