Job Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours/pp | Exempt/Salaried

Schedule: 8-hour Day Shifts

Our Wound Care Program is dedicated to helping patients heal and regain their quality of life through expert, compassionate care. Our multidisciplinary team utilizes advanced wound treatment techniques, personalized care plans, and evidence-based practices to promote healing, prevent complications, and deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a supportive and collaborative environment.

How you'll contribute

An RN Manager who excels in this role:

  • Provides leadership and oversight for wound care department operations, including patient care delivery, staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, budgeting, resource allocation, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Directs and evaluates wound care services to ensure evidence-based clinical practice, high-quality patient outcomes, patient safety, infection prevention, customer service excellence, and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized wound care treatment plans for patients with acute, chronic, and complex wounds, incorporating patient goals and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Performs and oversees wound care interventions and therapies, ensuring appropriate treatment modalities, equipment utilization, documentation standards, and adherence to clinical practice guidelines.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives, and staff education programs to support quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborates with physicians, revenue cycle, accounting, practice operations, and other departments to optimize clinical operations, documentation accuracy, coding compliance, reimbursement, and patient care coordination.
  • Monitors quality, accreditation, and regulatory standards, conduct audits, analyze performance data, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
  • Serves as a clinical and operational resource, fostering interdisciplinary teamwork, maintaining effective relationships with providers and external stakeholders, supporting staff development, and promoting continuous professional growth and organizational excellence.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred). Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Certification

  • 2-Years supervisory or managerial experience (preferred)

  • Previous experience in wound care management (preferred)

  • Wound care Certification (CWS, CWCN, CWOCN) required within 12 months of hire or transfer

  • Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination
