Registered Nurse (RN) – Intravenous (IV) & Procedural Care

Locations: Hamilton / Oakville / St. Catharines, ON

Employment: Casual / As Needed

Pay: $39.00–$43.00/hour, based on experience

HealthOPM is recruiting experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) with strong intravenous (IV), patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills to support specialized outpatient pain clinics in Hamilton, Oakville and St. Catharines.

The clinics provide image-guided/interventional pain procedures using fluoroscopy. Nurses support patients before, during and following procedures, working alongside physicians and the clinical team.

Previous fluoroscopy or pain-clinic experience is not required. We are interested in experienced RNs with strong transferable clinical skills who can be oriented to the clinic's specific procedural workflow.

What You'll Do

• Perform IV insertion and support IV medication administration as required
• Complete pre-procedure assessments, vital signs and patient preparation
• Prepare and position patients for image-guided pain procedures
• Assist physicians and the clinical team during procedures
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition before, during and following procedures
• Recognize changes in patient status and respond or escalate appropriately
• Support post-procedure recovery, patient education and discharge
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and efficient patient flow

Your Experience May Be a Fit If You Have

Hands-on RN experience involving IV insertion, medication administration, patient assessment and clinical monitoring, including experience from areas such as:

• Emergency or acute care
• Surgical / perioperative nursing
• Day surgery or endoscopy
• Interventional radiology
• Cardiac / cath lab
• Infusion or IV therapy with strong patient assessment experience
• Other procedural or high-acuity clinical environments

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong intravenous (IV) insertion skills
• Recent hands-on clinical nursing experience
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Comfortable assisting with procedures and learning fluoroscopy-based clinic workflows
• Ability to work casual/as-needed shifts in Hamilton, Oakville and/or St. Catharines

Schedule

This is a casual/as-needed opportunity. Shifts are scheduled according to clinic requirements, with opportunities for nurses who can provide flexible coverage across one or more locations.
