Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Current registration with the College Nurses of Ontario required
-Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
-Cardiac Interpretation skills preferred
-Certification in venipuncture and IV initiation
-PACU course and recent experience an asset
-Demonstrated clinical expertise and 5 years of recent experience in surgical nursing, both pre, post general anesthetic and post-op
-Previous critical care nursing an asset
-A good attendance and work record demonstrating reliability and dependability is essential
-A resume regarding further education, special courses and experience should accompany the application
-Shifts may be assigned at Charlton Campus if required

NOTE The successful applicant to this position will be cross-trained and will be scheduled to work in the Eye Clinic Primary and Surgery Centre Pre/Post Secondary as scheduling needs and operational demands require.

The hours of work for this position will be scheduled subject to a scheduling agreement between the Hospital and Ontario Nurses’ Association, which may involve a part time master schedule for pre-determined shifts and/or hours.
