Registered Nurse (RN) - Electrophysiology Lab (EP)

No call, no weekends

ChristianaCare is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Electrophysiology Lab. The RN will provide procedural assistance and educate patients undergoing cardiac procedures. The Gerret and Tatiana Copeland Arrhythmia Center, which is one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most advanced electrophysiology suites, featuring advanced stereotaxis equipment for the expert diagnosis and treatment of heart-rhythm disorders. This technology is offered by only 2 percent of U.S. hospitals. The center’s skilled electrophysiologists and heart specialists also offer a highly effective atrial fibrillation ablation technique.
Job Responsibilities:
Circulator for pre- and post-procedures and perform RN to RN handoffs
The Circulating nurse meets all patients and reviews their history, identify allergies, checks medications needed for each case, answers questions the patient and family may have, and transports the patient to the EP Lab
Scrub in with the provider for all electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker insertion, internal cardioverter defibrillator insertion, Bi-Ventricular devices, studies, and ablations.
Recorder – set up, connect, and troubleshoot equipment. Monitor and perform measurements on intracardiac recording system operate stimulator and ablation generators.
Education and Minimum Requirement:
DE RN License or RN License from a compact state.
BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire
Must have at least two years of RN experience. Experience in Electrophysiology or other procedural area preferred.
Must have experience with EKG and Telemetry
BLS certification is required.
ACLS preferred. Must get within 6 months of start date.
ChristianaCare Offer:
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
