Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Cardiac Telemetry Unit in Wausau,
Wisconsin.
This opportunity is
ideal for nurses looking to strengthen their critical care experience while
caring for complex cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary patients in a collaborative
step-down environment.

nationally recognized cardiovascular program, Aspirus also provides
advanced care in orthopedics, cancer, trauma and emergency medicine, women's
health, and neurological and spine care.

Schedule: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE (72 Hours per Pay
Period)

12-hour shifts | Every 3rd weekend | Two holidays
per year

What We Are Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
-
Associate Degree in Nursing
required; BSN preferred
-
Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN
license
-
Current BLS (CPR) certification or
ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
-
ACLS required within six months of
hire
-
Strong commitment to teamwork,
learning, and exceptional patient care
What You’ll Do
-
Provide high-quality, evidence-based
nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a 44-bed
Cardiac Telemetry step-down unit
-
Assess, monitor, and respond to changes
in patient condition, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment
-
Care for patients recovering from heart,
vascular, and lung procedures and surgeries
-
Manage and monitor patients with complex
cardiac and pulmonary conditions, including:
-
Acute coronary syndrome, Myocardial
infarction & Cardiac arrhythmias
-
Congestive heart failure, Cardiomyopathy
& Pulmonary embolism
-
Pulmonary hypertension, Pneumothorax, Emphysema
& Hypertensive urgency
-
Peripheral vascular disease & valvular
heart disease
-
Administer medications, treatments, and
interventions in accordance with evidence-based practice and physician orders

Collaborate with physicians and
interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient
care plans

Educate patients and families on
diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
-
Maintain accurate and timely
documentation while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and quality
standards

Promote patient safety, quality
outcomes, and compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity
environment
