St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Surgery unit located at our Florence, Kentucky location.
Shift & Hours: 1st shift; Full-time, 40 hours weekly.

Provide leadership and supervision for assigned surgical specialty area twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Responsible for management of the department which includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care, in accordance with accepted nursing standards, nursing practice, and AORN Recommended Practices. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Education, Credentials, Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing. If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence.
Licensed to practice nursing in the State where work is being performed. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state required courses.
Specialized Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for the day-to-day surgical caseload. Ability to assess patient needs and evaluate nursing care and personnel performance. Able to direct self and others. Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
Kind and Length of Experience:
Two years of experience in clinical area of responsibility required. Experience relevant to the specific clinical area(s).
