Registered Nurse (RN) | Interventional Pain Management

Full-Time | $35-$42 per Hour

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM-1:00 PM

Central States Pain Clinic is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interventional pain management team. In this position, you will play an important role in guiding patients through their care before, during, and after minimally invasive procedures while working alongside physicians and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

About Central States Pain Clinic

Central States Pain Clinic specializes in interventional approaches to pain management for patients in the West Des Moines and Ankeny communities. Our clinical team uses advanced, minimally invasive treatment options to help patients address chronic pain, restore function, and improve their day-to-day lives.

What You'll Be Doing

As an RN on our clinical team, you will help coordinate and deliver nursing care throughout the patient's procedural experience. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, procedure preparation, recovery monitoring, documentation, communication with providers, and maintaining high standards of safety and clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments and collect relevant patient health histories
  • Monitor and record vital signs throughout the appropriate stages of care
  • Assess patients before procedures and monitor their condition during recovery
  • Identify, communicate, and appropriately respond to changes in patient status
  • Collaborate with physicians and other clinical team members to develop and update individualized care plans
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care provided, and patient outcomes
  • Ensure nursing care is delivered in accordance with established policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment and care needs
  • Assist with coordinating daily clinical activities and supporting efficient workflow
  • Provide guidance and direction to clinical support staff when appropriate
  • Prepare treatment and procedure areas, equipment, and necessary supplies
  • Assist physicians and providers during scheduled procedures
  • Monitor patients following procedures and support safe recovery and discharge processes
  • Identify and communicate potential risks or concerns associated with patient care and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards
  • Operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under physician supervision when properly trained and assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong understanding of professional nursing standards and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Ability to perform clinical assessments and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Ability to operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under physician direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • CPAN certification
  • At least one year of experience in an OR, PACU, surgical, or procedural nursing environment
  • Familiarity with sterile technique, scrub procedures, and procedural workflows
