Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds that provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care to patients of all ages. The department treats a wide range of conditions, from non-emergent complaints to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. A dedicated split-flow area supports efficient evaluation and treatment of fast-track patients with lower acuity needs. Additionally, the ED includes a behavioral health intake area designed to safely assess and manage patientspresenting withmental health and behavioral health concerns.
Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based uponthe principles of psychological, biological,physical,and social sciences in the application of the nursingprocess.Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care tomeet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Mustpossessthe abilityto supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employeeswill continuallymonitorand adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

Requirements:
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
Basic Life Support isrequired New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation
Glucometer Training
Basic Cardiac Arrythmia within 6 months
NIH Stroke Certification within 6 months
12 Lead within 6 months
Nurse Wound Care within30 days
