About Riccarton Clinic:

Riccarton Clinic is a busy combined General Practice and Urgent Care clinic located at Church Corner, Upper Riccarton. Open every day of the year from 8.00am to 8.00pm, our team of 110+ health professionals ensures that the healthcare needs of many are met. This is a wonderful opportunity to be pivotal in this dynamic organisation that offers superior service and high-quality clinical care.

About the role:

A fixed-term opportunity is now open for a Registered Nurse for Urgent Care to join our incredible team of health care professionals. The successful candidate will share our commitment to exceeding patient expectations by delivering high-quality, timely, and compassionate urgent care services. This role involves weekend shifts and rostered nights until 8:30pm.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on your career. Riccarton Clinic provides full training to competently work within our Urgent Care team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Patient Triage: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate urgent care patients
  • Urgent Care: Perform procedures like plastering, suturing, asthma treatment, wound care, and more
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our clinical and admin teams to ensure seamless patient care

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individual who has exceptional attention to detail and a passion to be a team player. Ideally, you are an experienced Registered Nurse who will be able deliver outstanding care to our patients and has the following:

  • Current NCNZ APC (Annual Practising Certificate)
  • Proven experience working in Urgent Care (primary care or hospital setting)
  • Experience with Medtech Evolution or Medtech 32 (desirable)
  • Although three years post-graduate experience is ideal, it is not essential. What is essential is being a committed team player with a passion for top class patient care.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Cultural competency and understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Legal rights to work in New Zealand
