MUSC Community Physicians is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our Urgent Care team in Elgin, South Carolina.
In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellow healthcare professionals. As a Registered Nurse, you’ll deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while partnering with patients and families throughout their healthcare experience.
Responsibilities include:
-Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.
-Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
-Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care that addresses physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and educational needs.
-Coordinate care and promote patient education to support positive health outcomes.
-Maintain a safe, respectful, and healing environment for patients, families, and coworkers.
-Prioritize patient needs while applying sound clinical judgment and critical thinking.
-Participate in professional development, shared governance, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
-Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to nursing excellence.
Additional Job Description
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure & Certifications:
-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
-CurrentBasic Life Support (BLS)certification (or obtained prior to completion of orientation).
-Some positions may require a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
