Job Title: Registered Nurse Prescriber – Primary & Specialty Teams

Location: Clinics operated by Tamaki Health in West Auckland.
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:

Tamaki Health seeks experienced nurses who are Registered nurse prescribers in primary and specialty teams (or likely to quality in the next twelve months) to join our network. We can offer support for progression to Nurse Practitioner if this is desirable. Positions are available in general practice and/or urgent care environments throughout the West Auckland Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Care: Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and/or chronic conditions.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with medical staff, nurse practitioners and patients to ensure the best care.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of patient care and treatment.
  • Risk Management: Ensure a safe environment and follow health and safety protocols.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on clinical knowledge and share with the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing, current Practicing Certificate. Post graduate diploma
  • Experience: Experience in managing patients with acute and chronic conditions.
  • Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Systems: Familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) preferred.
  • Other: Right to work in New Zealand and a commitment to patient care.
  • Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
