Summary:

Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a system is in place to meet the physical health needs of all youth including, but not limited to, triage services, provision of direct services, coordination of services, and communication with pertinent individuals.
- Manages medication and prescription acquisition, distribution, and administration. Follows up to ensure proper medication procedure is followed.
- Create and implement training to ensure individual and Region are aware of relevant medical needs of youth. Ensure program meets compliance standards for relevant regulating agencies.
- Performs other duties as required including, but not limited to, attending team meetings, completing health assessments for behavioral therapy plans and providing input to the SFSA development, creating/implementing policies and procedures, participating in on-call duties/rotation, and maintaining accurate and complete medical records in compliance with external agency expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to use a computer; proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ARIZE
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN); 3-5 years previous relevant experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; previous experience with adolescent population and psychiatric medicine helpful; willingness to be flexible is necessary.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance.
Physical Demands:
- Travel required to cover Wooster, Salem, and Mt. Vernon Campuses. Campuses are roughly 1 hr., 15 minutes from Wooster Campus. Milage reimbursement is available.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Ability to communicate (orally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
- Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently
