Rural Staffing Services is partnering with Klickitat Valley Health to recruit a compassionate Registered Nurse – Palliative Care / Hospice who will support patients and families navigating serious illness and end-of-life care.
This role focuses on dignity, comfort, connection, and honoring the values and wishes of each patient and family. You will help guide patients through some of the most important moments of their lives while ensuring their care aligns with their goals and priorities.

Patients facing serious illness deserve care that prioritizes comfort, dignity, and compassion.
The Hospice & Palliative Care Registered Nurse plays a vital role in helping patients and families navigate complex medical and emotional decisions while ensuring their care reflects their values and goals.
Through symptom management, education, and care coordination, this role helps patients experience the highest possible quality of life during serious illness.
Provide nursing care for hospice and palliative patients in home, clinic, hospital, and community settings
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Support symptom management and comfort-focused treatment
Educate patients and families regarding care options and treatment plans
Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and caregivers
Collaborate with social workers, chaplains, and care teams to ensure coordinated care
Assist with discharge planning and community resource coordination
Participate in shared on-call responsibilities with other hospice RNs
Compassionate and patient-centered nursing care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to support patients and families during emotionally complex situations
Critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
Commitment to teamwork and coordinated care
Education / Licensure
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Active Washington State RN license (BSN preferred but not required)
BLS certification required
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for patient visits
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards
Experience
Minimum two years of nursing experience required
Home Health or Hospice experience preferred
Hourly Pay: $42.41 – $69.44
Position Type: Casual
Casual positions are not eligible for benefits, though this position includes a casual differential
