We are seeking a Pain Management RN, responsible for coordinating and supporting comprehensive pain management services across the facility. The Pain Management RN plays a key role in ensuring patients receive effective, evidence-based pain control while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. The Pain Management RN collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs, monitor outcomes, and improve overall pain management protocols. This role focuses on enhancing patient comfort, educating staff, and driving quality improvement initiatives related to pain care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Oversee daily pain management practices, ensuring timely assesment, intervention, and reassesment of patient pain levels
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop and implement individualized pain management plans
  • Review patient charts, validate documentation accuracy, and monitor pain-related quality metrics for compliance and improvment
  • Develop, implement, and standardize pain management protocols, policies, and staff competencies
  • Monitor and promote safe use of pain medications, including compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, pharmacy, phyisicans, and other departments to ensure coordinatred pain managment care

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Previous acute care hospital experience; preferred.

5. Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.

6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
