Our Cancer & Wellness Service supports people with cancer, whether at diagnosis, during treatment and beyond, providing high quality comprehensive cancer care close to home for those in the Central Hume Catchment.
Our services include a team of dedicated specialists cancer nurses, and a Day Chemotherapy and Medical Infusion Unit.
The Day Oncology Unit at NHW comprises 9 treatment chairs for the administration of cancer treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments), and infusions for neurology, inflammatory bowel and other medical conditions.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
