Job Description

Job Title: RN – Operating Room

Rate: Up to $2030.00 weekly

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

Day Shift (12H)

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

  • 2 years' Operating Room experience required

Licenses/Certifications

  • Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of Georgia.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain BLS & ACLS certification.
  • Must have expertise in Neuro and Ortho. Sometimes robotics is needed but for the majority of cases neuro and ortho are required and robotics. Experienced travelers must be versatile.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: conduct thorough and rapid assessments of patients upon arrival, including checking vital signs, medical history, and presenting symptoms to determine the severity of their condition.

Triage: prioritize patient care based on the urgency of medical needs, ensuring that critical cases receive immediate attention while managing less urgent cases effectively.

Emergency Care: administer emergency medical interventions such as CPR, wound care, and stabilization of patients in critical condition, utilizing advanced life support techniques as necessary.

Medication Administration: prepare and administer medications, including IV fluids and pain relief, while monitoring for adverse reactions and ensuring compliance with protocols.

Collaboration with Medical Team: work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure situations.

Patient Monitoring: continuous monitoring of patients’ conditions, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, is essential to detect any changes that may require immediate intervention.

Documentation: maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and responses to care is crucial for compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.

Patient Education: provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions to promote understanding and compliance.

Infection Control: adhering to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections is a vital responsibility, including proper hand hygiene and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
