The RN Wound Care performs a variety of duties including but not limited to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all educational programs designed to inform the patient/family/significant other about the patient's condition and treatment related to ostomy surgery, ostomies, wound care to include: decubitus ulcers, draining wounds, drain sites, foot/nail care, and self catheterization. Provides the full scope of Enterostomal Therapy practice, which includes other components such as education, counseling, research and administration. Relies on education and training to complete responsibilities within scope of licensure as registered nurse.
2-4 yrs RN experience
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Per license requirements
Proficient in the English language, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills
Current Louisiana State license as RN; BLS
