Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Utica, NY
Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 hours/week

Start Date: 04/13/2026
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for neonates in Level II/III NICU, including private rooms and open bay overflow
  • Maintain RN-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity
  • Perform assessments, administer medications, and manage neonatal care per unit protocols
  • Utilize Epic for charting and documentation
  • Float as needed to MB, pediatrics, or other adult units outside scope for support
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years NICU experience, Level II/III preferred
  • Active RN license
  • BLS and NRP required at time of submission
  • PALS and STABLE required prior to start (or willing to obtain before assignment)
  • Epic experience required
