Join our compassionate team at our Boulcott Village in our Memory Care Centre, where we deliver high-quality, resident-directed care for people living with dementia. Our secure, specialist environment supports safety while promoting a fulfilling and enjoyable lifestyle, with each resident’s quality of life at the heart of everything we do. Our care is resident-directed—meaning we tailor care and support to each individual’s preferences, values, and needs.

Typical duties include:

  • Supporting residents with activities of daily living
  • Co-creating personalised care plans
  • Leading and delegating care provision to caregivers and support staff
  • Ensuring timely delivery of care and support
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress in partnership with the resident and their chosen representatives
  • Building trusted therapeutic relationships with residents and their whānau

The shifts and hours for this role entails working Sunday & Monday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Qualifications

As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will be seeking a rewarding role and feel motivated by enhancing residents’ lives.

You’ll bring with you:

  • Experience in a memory care unit or dementia residence
  • A NZ Registration and a current Practicing Certificate
  • InterRai Training
  • A genuine interest in working with older people and an understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village
  • Demonstrated ability to take the lead, remain calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people, from residents, families and your colleagues
