About the role

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Inpatient Unit 1 team on a permanent part-time basis OR 6 Month maximum term part-time role (32 hours per week)

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive clinical environment where you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse inpatient cohort. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, evidence-based care while supporting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

This position will involve working 24/7 rotating rostered shifts including early, late, night and weekend shifts.

Salary range: $42.99 - $55.14 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

As a valued member of our Medical & Rehabilitation Inpatients ward, you will uphold the highest clinical standards while:

  • Delivering optimal patient outcomes throughout every stage of the patient journey and continuum of care
  • Applying exceptional clinical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of procedures to manage patients with outstanding care
  • Integrating quality and risk management strategies seamlessly into daily service delivery
  • Collaborating effectively with the nursing team to ensure consistently exceptional care
  • Maintaining and advancing your professional skills and knowledge to support ongoing growth and development

About you

Key skills and experience you bring include:

  • Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • 2 years post grad experience as a Registered Nurse working in the Medical/ Rehab environment
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
