Qualifications

Who you are:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing education.
• Must have current active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon.
• Current BLS CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in the care of the geriatric resident as evidenced by previous work experience is preferred.
• Experience with the RAI process preferred but not necessary
• Must meet Oregon State regulation for Resident Care Managers that mandates successful completion of 3 credit hours or 30 continuing education hours (CEU’s) pertinent to gerontology rehabilitation or long-term care; 3 credit hours or 14 CEU’s pertinent to supervision within 9 months of hire.

Essential Job Duties:

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her unit.
• Provides support/education to staff, residents, and families.
• Meets with all new admissions to assure core needs are being met.
• Gathers information since last business day related to resident updates, events, and new orders for Morning Meeting.
• Prepares for and attends meetings as designated by supervisor.
• Assures accuracy and completeness of medical record.
