Registered Nurse – Local Doctors - LynnMall (Fixed-term)

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding challenge in a dynamic environment? Tāmaki Health is seeking passionate and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team at Local Doctors. We provide essential urgent care and general practice services, and we’re looking for dedicated team players to deliver outstanding care to our patients.

About Tamaki Health

At Tāmaki Health, we are passionate about delivering quality healthcare across New Zealand. Every day, our clinics serve thousands of patients, and behind the scenes, our Workforce team ensures the right people are in the right place at the right time. This role is essential to making that happen—by leading rostering and workforce planning so our clinics operate smoothly for the communities we serve.

Join the team at LynnMall Medical Centre, a trusted West Auckland general practice since the 1980s, dedicated to providing personalised, high-quality care to a diverse community. Led by experienced GPs Dr Robert Price and Dr Slushna Weeramuni, supported by part-time doctors, we offer a collaborative, patient-focused environment where continuity of care is valued. Enjoy working hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am–7:00pm, Wednesday 8:30am–6:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am–1:00pm, with the chance to make a real impact on patients’ health in a well-established practice. After-hours appointments are available with updated fees for evening and weekend consults.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to provide both urgent care and general practice nursing services.

Working Hours: 1 FTE position to cover an employee on extended leave, initially for a 12-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Practice Care: Manage long-term health conditions, mental health, and regular screenings
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our clinical and admin teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Patient Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a fast-paced, supportive, and culturally diverse environment
  • Make a significant impact on patient care
  • Enjoy flexible working hours with shifts across seven days a week
  • Benefit from competitive pay and career development opportunities
  • Access excellent on-site services, including pharmacy, x-ray, and parking

Requirements:

  • Current NZNC APC (Annual Practicing Certificate)
  • Experience in General Practice and Urgent Care (preferred but not essential)
  • Authorised vaccinator and cervical smear taker (preferable)
  • Experience with Medtech Evolution or Medtech 32 (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Cultural competency and understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Legal rights to work in New Zealand
