Job Description

A large hospital system is seeking a L&D Registered Nurse to join their Labor and Delivery unit on the coast in beautiful Florence Oregon!

Position:

• Full time Day and Night shift avail - FTE 0.90 - 3/12 hour shifts
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
• Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
• This position entails: resource duties, admissions, discharges, and wound care. Position makes discharge phone calls to patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required in a Labor & Delivery/Post partum/Newborn unit
• State of Oregon Nursing license required
• AWHONN Basic & Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course must be obtained within a standard grace period from hire date
• Basic Life Support required upon hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
