Registered Nurse – 3E Intermediate Care at Springfield Memorial Hospital

At Springfield Memorial Hospital, becoming a Registered Nurse means joining a Magnet-recognized team that raises the bar for nursing excellence. Here, you’ll be part of an environment that values learning, growth, and professional advancement—so you can become the very best nurse you aspire to be.

At Memorial, we believe that “care starts with caring.” That means more than providing skilled clinical care—it means treating each patient as if they’re your only one, being the reassuring voice for families, finding solutions when challenges arise, and showing compassion in every interaction.

Why 3E Intermediate Care?On 3E, you’ll be at the heart of some of the most rewarding and challenging nursing experiences. You’ll care for patients with neuro-medical, respiratory, surgical, post-trauma, and sepsis needs, as well as those requiring a higher level of attention—borderline ICU patients. Every day will bring opportunities to sharpen your critical thinking and clinical skills.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with:

  • IMC monitoring, ventilator management, and EEG observation

  • Acute stroke care, seizure disorders, and complex post-surgical recovery

  • Interpreting and responding to cardiac monitoring strips

  • Managing titratable medications, drainage tubes, and wound dressings
