20250805104435_DMVA.jpg Examples of dutiesThis position develops, presents, and evaluates educational programs that support staff development and quality nursing care at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. The work focuses on planning, teaching, coordinating resources, and maintaining accurate training records. As a Registered Nurse Instructor, you will perform the following duties:Staff Orientation: Create and deliver orientation programs, evaluate employee progress, and develop lesson plans on health related topicsTraining Coordination: Organize educational resources, schedule training sessions, and ensure staff receive required in service hoursNursing Instruction: Teach nursing procedures, demonstrate new equipment, and provide guidance on nursing practiceRecord Management: Maintain systems for storing training records, audits, and documentation related to educational activitiesCare Evaluation: Observe resident conditions, report changes, and document daily care information in approved records

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends as needed.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three years of professional nursing experience; and a bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; orOne year of professional nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Special Requirements:You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
