What you will be doing in this role 
In this role, you will be reporting into the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and providing high-quality nursing care in a hybrid operating environment, supporting both open vascular surgeries and minimally invasive endovascular procedures. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced technology and patient-centred care. You will provide direct patient care before, during, and after vascular procedures while assisting physicians in hybrid vascular and endovascular interventions. You will monitor patient status, including vital signs and procedural outcomes, and ensure a safe, sterile environment is maintained within the hybrid operating room.

Responsibilities also include assisting in both open vascular and endovascular procedures (e.g. angiograms, stenting, EVAR, AAA) by performing scrub and/or scout roles, preparing and managing specialised instruments, wires, catheters, and grafts, while maintaining strict aseptic technique throughout.

Who we’re looking for 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • 2 years demonstrated experience within Hybrid Vascular environment
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts including morning, afternoons and evenings (no night shifts)
  • The ability to participate in the on-call roster as needed 
  • A team player that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment 
  • The ability to use your initiative and critical problem-solving skills 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Full Australian working rights
