Job Description

Population Served

Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)

RN I/DD – Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person‑centered nursing care with small, manageable caseloads
  • Coordinate medical care, appointments, and follow‑up for individuals with I/DD
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Advocate for people supported within healthcare and clinical settings
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate health records and nursing documentation
  • Support and educate staff on health, safety, and medical best practices

Qualifications

  • New York State Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • I/DD, residential, or community‑based nursing experience preferred
  • Commitment to person‑first, compassionate care
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
