The Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit (A2N) is hiring for 0.9 FTE RN - Night shift. A2N is a 28-bed, fast-paced, high acuity, mixed model unit that includes Progressive Care and MedSurg patients. This unit's focus is the treatment of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patients through surgical and medical management of diagnoses. Diagnoses include cardiac arrhythmias, circulatory disorders, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), cardiac valve repairs/replacement, and post heart catheterization procedural care.
Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit is the only Progressive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital with registered nurses who are specially trained in the care of Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD). With the required specialized care of these patients, the diagnoses can be varied.
This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift, holiday differentials and a relocation bonus. More details about these differentials will be provided during the interview process.
