Job Description

Job Purpose:

Correct collection, handling and transportation of samples for testing.

Assist with self-collection of samples. Assist with certain medical

procedures under supervision of a nurse or a doctor.

Perform point of care testing.

Qualification / Knowledge

Candidates to be fluent in Afrikaans

Grade 12 Certificate

2-3 Years experience

Qualified Medical Technician in Phlebotomy

Registered with HPCSA /SANC

Valid drivers License (for use of company vehicle)

Key Accountabilities

1. Collection / Delivery of specimens, reports and other items

a. Effective collection of specimens from various clients as per SOP

b. Handle administrative duties and queries as appropriate

c. Maintain safe and housekeeping standards in accordance with OHS Act

e. Provide functional support in the department.

2. Quality Management

a. Ensure the correct application for quality assurance processes in standard operating procedures.

b. Adherence to company policies and procedures
