About the role

Join our Mobile Donor Centre Team in Adelaide! Travel through vibrant regional South Australia and help the community collect life-saving donations. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and support our regional donors in a unique working environment. Working with our generous donors, enjoy a more predictable, people-focused environment, with less hospital pressure and the chance to be a key part of the community.

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia’s supply of blood products.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interview potential donors in regional SA to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate.

  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.

  • Set up machines and collection equipment.

  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.

  • Manage adverse donor reactions, offering guidance and physical assistance.

  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist with rebooking for future donations.

Key Requirements:

  • Travel across various regions of South Australia to engage directly with our donors and make a meaningful impact on local communities.

  • Be comfortable with regional travel (car and flights) and overnight stays up to 4 days at a time.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts on a rotating roster, Mon-Sat
  • Strong ability to connect with donors and build lasting relationships.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment.
  • Completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration.
  • Comfortable working independently, sometimes as the sole RN with support from Nursing Assistants.
  • Physical requirements: occasionally lifting between 9-22.7kgs and frequently standing, walking, and bending to set up and pack down machines.
  • Comfortable with long car and plane travel.
  • Full driver’s license is required.

Our Paid, flexible, and self-paced training program with a balance of on-the-job practice and online learning to support you every step of the way.
