Job Description

Position: Registered Nurse & Charge Nurse (Medical Surgical)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse & Charge Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, coordinating patient care activities, and overseeing the daily operations of the unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments as prescribed by the physician

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients

- Assess patient needs and develop appropriate nursing interventions

- Monitor patient progress and document all care provided in the electronic medical record

- Oversee and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery

- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed

- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards

- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control and safety protocols

- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license in the state of employment (Home country)

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical surgical unit

- BLS and ACLS certification preferred

- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of medical surgical nursing principles

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency in electronic medical records and computer skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
